FOR SELLERS

Limit the number of people and duration of visit for in-person showings

Before the showings turn on the lights and open interior doors

Disinfect all exterior door handles, interior door handles, and lockbox with an alcohol-based sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol

Leave the house when there is a showing (stay in your car parked far from your house, drive around the neighborhood, or go for a walk)

After showing thoroughly disinfect all handles, lockbox, countertops with an alcohol-based sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol

Wash your hands with soap and warm water for minimum 20 seconds after every showing

FOR BUYERS

Review homes online using video, virtual walkthrough tours and narrow down your search to a few properties that meet your criteria. Ask your agent to acquire additional information on the homes for you to short list one or two homes for in person visit

Visit the property alone or with one family member only

Do not use washroom facilities during your showing

Wear gloves and mask and do not touch surfaces

Sanitize your hands after the showing

Wash your hands with soap and warm water for minimum 20 seconds after your showing

Limit in-person meetings for signing offers, mortgage documents, real estate deals with lawyers – it all could be done electronically!
